How you'll learn

The Executive Edge in Sports program guides learners through an eight-week structured journey that builds progressively from foundational concepts to applied, executive-level thinking. The experience begins with a Program Orientation in Week 1, where learners are introduced to the program structure, expectations, and the learning platform. Over the following six weeks, learners move through six modules — Sport Leadership and Strategy, Governance and Ethics, Finance and Revenue, Marketing and Fan Engagement, Sporting Event Operations, and AI and Technology Applications in Sport — each requiring approximately three hours of effort. Every module combines foundational learning videos and executive insight interviews with senior industry professionals as required activities, alongside optional self-study resources such as reflection workbooks and practice quizzes that allow learners to deepen their understanding and engage with fellow participants.
A Capstone project runs as a thread throughout the entire program. Learners are encouraged to build their thinking progressively through informal checkpoints at Modules 2 and 4, before finalising and submitting their work in Week 8. The capstone asks learners to integrate insights from all six modules into a set of executive-ready recommendations addressing strategic opportunities in the sport industry. Each module also includes a required quiz, and together the six quizzes and the capstone submission make up the program’s 100-point assessment. Learners who complete the course earn a Certificate of Completion.
By the end of the program, learners will have developed the strategic, financial, operational, and technological acumen needed to lead effectively in today’s sport industry. They will be equipped to diagnose competitive landscapes, design sustainable revenue models, build fan engagement strategies, plan safe and accessible sporting events, and evaluate emerging AI applications — all while communicating their recommendations with executive-level clarity. The program ultimately prepares learners not just with knowledge, but with the practical frameworks and industry perspective to navigate the complexities of modern sport management.
